CSS3 advanced selectors = joy

January 23rd, 2011 by alli

Joy! CSS3 has more selectors that make it even easier to target HTML elements. Having dabbled more seriously in HTML/CSS and created too many classes than I thought was necessary, I can see how these advanced selectors are going to be extremely useful once CSS3 gets rolling across all the browsers.

One example being touted is the ability to format every other element. I can only appreciate this because I had to build an alternating CSS class into my PHP code for different colored rows. How much simpler it’s going to be now that this can all be taken care of entirely on the front end code now.

More CSS3 coolness.
